Deep Tissue Massage involves the application of firmer pressure and slower strokes to reach the deeper layers of muscle, tendons, and fascia. The movements are generally performed with fingers, knuckles, hands, elbows and forearms and are commonly focused solely on the specific areas of pain and tension.
Thai massage, also known as Thai yoga massage, is a traditional form of therapeutic massage that combines acupressure, yoga-like movements, and assisted stretching. It is rooted in ancient Thai healing practices and is believed to promote overall well-being by addressing physical tension, emotional stress, and energy imbalances.
Cupping Therapy is a modified version of the common cupping practice used in traditional Chinese medicine. Cupping Massage will help break down rigid tissue (muscle and fascia) and assists in the release of excess fluids and toxins. It also promotes blood flow and can help improve range of motion. The process involves the therapist putting special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. The process uses negative pressure (suction) to lift the soft tissues of the body. This is not fire cupping. Generally, patients get cupping for many purposes, such as pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. After your session, the cups may leave a bruise or bruise-like marks on your treated areas, The colour and pattern of the marks depend on the level of stagnation in the area and can range from a bright red to a dark purple, usually lasting three days to a week (sometimes a bit longer). Once our clients understand what these marks are and feel the results, their concerns disappear, and they return for more sessions. Infratherapy treatments involve wrapping a patient in a warming blanket and applying infrared energy for 45 minutes at a time. This heats the body much like a sauna or steam room.
How does it work?
